Basketball Recap: Moss Point Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

It was a proper cat-fight when Moss Point took on Pascagoula on Friday. The Moss Point Tigers came out on top against the Pascagoula Panthers by a score of 39-29. Winning may never get old, but the Tigers sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Moss Point's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jordyn Ford, who went 5 for 11 en route to 17 points in addition to five boards and three steals. Ford's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Zaria Nettles was another key player, putting up six points and eight rebounds.

Moss Point is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.5 points per game. As for Pascagoula, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-10.

As of now, neither Moss Point nor Pascagoula have any future games scheduled.
