Basketball Recap: Winters Comes Up Short

Winters lost against Miles on January 3rd and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Winters Blizzards lost to the Miles Bulldogs at home by a 59-43 margin. While losing is never fun, the Blizzards can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1434th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 704th).

Winters has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-17 record this season. As for Miles, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Roscoe the next time they take the court. Miles will host Roscoe at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, while Winters will head out to face them at 8:00 p.m. on February 4th.
