Basketball Game Preview: Parowan Rams vs. South Sevier Rams

Parowan hasn't had much luck against South Sevier recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Parowan Rams will venture away from home to face off against the South Sevier Rams at 1:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Parowan is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They came out on top against Duchesne by a score of 55-47. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, South Sevier had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.3 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They walked away with a 53-43 victory over the Rams.

Parowan better keep an eye on Stockton Roberts. He was instrumental in South Sevier's win, going 5-for-9 on his way to 18 points. Roberts continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Mackson Bastian, who posted nine points and eight rebounds.

South Sevier's win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.6 points over those games. As for Parowan, their victory bumped their record up to 10-14.

Parowan came up short against South Sevier when the teams last played on Friday, falling 53-43. Can Parowan avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
