Volleyball Recap: Cypress Christian Takes a Loss

Cypress Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Union Redhawks.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Cypress Christian sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 22-25, 15-7.

CONNIE QUAGLIA paced Cypress Christian's offense, picking up seven kills. QUAGLIA got some help from ARYANA REYES and her seven assists. LILAH JOHNSON and KARLY SCKIELACK kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Cypress Christian's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Union, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-5.

Cypress Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Seminole Ridge on the 29th. As for Union, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Bayside on the 29th.
