Rylan Howe posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Monday. As a matter of fact, he turned in his biggest game of the season, striking out 12 batters over 6.2 innings while giving up three earned runs off eight hits (and not a single walk). He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Union is 4-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 5-7 otherwise.

Howe's strong effort led Union over Battle Ground and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
