Softball Recap: Cincinnati Country Day Comes Up Short

Cincinnati Country Day dropped their record down to 6-4 on Wednesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost 15-0 to the Clermont Northeastern Rockets. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Nighthawks were not able to get on the board.

As for Clermont Northeastern, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-10. The game marked their most dominant win of the season.

For Clermont Northeastern's part, Jenna Brown was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over five innings pitched. Brown has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with four runs, two stolen bases, and one triple. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Addisyn Baker was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Bella Wilson, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

As of now, neither Cincinnati Country Day nor Clermont Northeastern have any future games scheduled.
