Softball Recap: Fairland Comes Up Short

Fairland fell victim to Wellston and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Golden Rockets, falling 11-0. If the Dragons were looking for revenge after losing 12-5 to the Golden Rockets when the teams met back in May of 2021, then they'll just have to keep looking.

This is the second loss in a row for Fairland and nudges their season record down to 2-20-1. As for Wellston, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-2 record this season.

Fairland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wellston, they will face off against Southeastern at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
