Preview: Classical Magnet Gladiators vs. Academy of Aerospace and Engineering Jets
Classical Magnet has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Academy of Aerospace and Engineering Jets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Connecticut (Classical Magnet is ranked 81st, while Academy of Aerospace and Engineering is ranked 99th).
Two weeks ago, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Classical Magnet beat Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy 54-50. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Classical Magnet has scored all year.
Meanwhile, Academy of Aerospace and Engineering unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took a hard 80-62 fall against Capital Prep. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Classical Magnet's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Academy of Aerospace and Engineering, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.
Classical Magnet beat Academy of Aerospace and Engineering 50-40 when the teams last played back in March of 2023. Does Classical Magnet have another victory up their sleeve, or will Academy of Aerospace and Engineering turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
