Basketball Recap: Jeremy Ume's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Tomas over Pasadena

If Tomas was feeling good fresh off their 85-60 takedown of Hempstead on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Gators fell 50-41 to the Pasadena Eagles on Saturday.

Tomas lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jeremy Ume, who shot 63% from the field en route to 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremy Jackson, who posted ten points.

Tomas has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-11 record this season. As for Pasadena, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-11.

Coming up, Tomas will head out on the road to face off against Needville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Pasadena, they will be home for the holidays to greet Fort Bend Dulles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles will be up against the Vikings' rather soft defense (which has allowed 53.67 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
