Football Game Preview: Fenton Bison vs. Riverside-Brookfield Bulldogs

The Fenton Bison are taking a road trip to take on the Riverside-Brookfield Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Last Friday, Fenton took a blow against Glenbard South, falling 56-14. While losing is never fun, the Bison can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 403rd, while the Raiders are ranked 184th).

Meanwhile, Riverside-Brookfield put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They took their game with ease, bagging a 51-0 victory over Elgin. That looming 51-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Bulldogs yet this season.

Fenton better keep an eye on Jacob Retana. He was instrumental in Riverside-Brookfield's win, rushing for 93 yards and two scores on only eight carries.

Fenton's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Riverside-Brookfield, their win bumped their record up to 4-0.

Fenton beat Riverside-Brookfield 21-14 in their previous meeting back in September of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bison since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
