Basketball Recap: Charlie Wingfield's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Ramapo over Ridgewood

Ramapo was the 59-41 winner over Ridgewood when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Ramapo Raiders fell 46-38 to the Ridgewood Maroons on Thursday.

Ramapo's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Charlie Wingfield, who went 5-for-8 to rack up 11 points. Wingfield is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 60% in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Aj Greig, who posted nine points and seven rebounds.

Ramapo has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 13-9 record this season. As for Ridgewood, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-2 record this season.

Ramapo has already played their next game, a 69-54 victory against Hackensack on the 18th. Ridgewood has also already played their next contest (against Eastside), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
