Softball Recap: Collins-Maxwell Comes Up Short

Collins-Maxwell made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Newell-Fonda, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Collins-Maxwell fell just short of Newell-Fonda by a score of 4-2 on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 17 runs in the game before, Collins-Maxwell couldn't push the score so high this time.

Collins-Maxwell's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Newell-Fonda, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-2.

Collins-Maxwell has already played their next game (against Riceville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Newell-Fonda, they will challenge East Sac County at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
