Basketball Recap: Homedale Takes a Loss

Homedale played a tough contest on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the Fruitland Grizzlies and fell 64-34. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Trojans have suffered since December 10, 2024.

Homedale lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Tiana Sorenson, who posted nine points. Another player making a difference was Stella Heck, who had eight points.

This is the second loss in a row for Homedale and nudges their season record down to 6-8. As for Fruitland, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 6-7 record this season.

Homedale will head out to challenge Cole Valley Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fruitland, they will welcome Payette at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fruitland is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games.
