Volleyball Recap: Daniel Chang's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Flanagan over Cypress Bay

Flanagan and Cypress Bay squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Flanagan had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to the Lightning. The Falcons have struggled against the Lightning recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Several Falcons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Daniel Chang, who had ten digs. Chang is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had ten or more in each of the last five games he's played. Oscar Benitez was another key player, getting 13 digs and two assists.

Flanagan now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Cypress Bay, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.

Flanagan does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cypress Bay, they will challenge West Broward at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bobcats will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Lightning surely won't give up without a fight.
