Football Recap: Englewood Stem Takes a Loss

Englewood Stem was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Richards Warriors. The Panthers lost against the Warriors in their previous head to head back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 30-0 score last time.

Englewood Stem's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Richards, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Englewood Stem will take on rival Solorio at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Richards is set to challenge their familiar foe Chicago Military Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
