Baseball Recap: Grayling Comes Up Short

Grayling's last matchup with Elk Rapids could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Thursday. The Vikings lost 11-2 to the Elks. The Vikings have struggled against the Elks recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Grayling's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Elk Rapids, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season.

Grayling will square off against Kalkaska at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The Vikings are facing the Blazers at the right time seeing as the Blazers are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Elk Rapids, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Ludington at 4:00 p.m.
