Volleyball Recap: Plattsburg Picks Up Fifth Straight Win at Home

There's no place like home for Plattsburg, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They won by a set and slipped past the St. Joseph Christian Lions 3-2. This was payback for the Tigers, who suffered a 3-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Plattsburg wouldn't go down easily and took St. Joseph Christian into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-20, 24-26, 22-25, 15-13.

Allie Stockdale paced Plattsburg's offense, picking up 12 kills. Stockdale got some help from Shay Steggall and her 19 assists. Steggall also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Leticia Howard, racking up four apiece.

Plattsburg pushed their record up to 3-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Plattsburg will challenge Wellington-Napoleon at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Joseph Christian, they will head out on the road to take on Savannah at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
