Soccer Game Preview: Edmonds-Woodway vs. Archbishop Murphy

The Edmonds-Woodway Warriors will take on the Archbishop Murphy Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Edmonds-Woodway is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games.

Edmonds-Woodway is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Washington's top teams: Monroe, who was ranked ninth at the time (Edmonds-Woodway was ranked 17th). Edmonds-Woodway came out on top in a nail-biter against Monroe on Friday, sneaking past 4-3. That's two games straight that Edmonds-Woodway have won by just one goal.

Meanwhile, Archbishop Murphy hasn't lost a match yet, a trend which continued in their latest game on Friday. Neither they nor Mountlake Terrace could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw. The result (or lack thereof) marked Archbishop Murphy's first draw of the season.

Edmonds-Woodway's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-2. With that draw, Archbishop Murphy's record moves to 4-0-1.
