Glendale Prep Academy had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They blew past the Gilbert Classical Academy Spartans 11-1. Considering the Griffins have won 11 matchups by more than nine  runs this season, Wednesday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Josiah Simms made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  struck out seven batters over  six innings while giving up just one earned run off   three  hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 3-for-4 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and one  stolen base.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Nathaniel Jensen, who  went 3-for-4 with three  stolen bases, two  runs,  and two  RBI. That's the most  hits  he has posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was  Corbin Kim, who  went 1-for-2 with two  stolen bases and two  runs.
 Glendale Prep Academy was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .409. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Gilbert Classical Academy only posted a  batting average of  .190.
Glendale Prep Academy's win was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 15-2. The  home  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Gilbert Classical Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-10-1.
 Looking ahead, Glendale Prep Academy will face off against Scottsdale Christian Academy at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday. As for Gilbert Classical Academy, they will challenge Chandler Prep at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday.
