Basketball Recap: Freeland Falls Despite Big Games from Wilson Huckeby and Tristan Comer

Freeland lost against Glenn back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Freeland Falcons took a 66-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Glenn Bobcats.

Freeland's loss came despite strong showings from Tristan Comer and Wilson Huckeby. Comer went 8-for-13 to rack up 24 points, while Huckeby posted 16 points and four steals. The match was Huckeby's fourth in a row with at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Connor Lasceski, who earned two points and three steals.

Glenn's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jimmy McCrum led the charge by going 6-for-8 en route to 15 points and four steals. McCrum is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 43% in the last three games he's played. Hayden Ruff was another key player, as he made all 6 shots he took for 14 points.

Freeland's defeat dropped their record down to 15-3. As for Glenn, the win was the 15th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-2.

Freeland didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 57-43 victory against Swan Valley on the 14th. As for Glenn, they have also already played their next contest, a 54-50 win against Bridgeport on the 14th.
