Softball Recap: O'Gorman Takes a Loss

O'Gorman was the 19-4 winner over Aberdeen Central when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Knights fell just short of the Golden Eagles by a score of 5-4 on Monday.

Sonia Deckert made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and fired off two home runs, three runs, and three RBI while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Zoey Bathke was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base.

O'Gorman's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Aberdeen Central, the win snapped their losing streak at six games and leaves them with a 2-17 record.

While O'Gorman had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
