Football Recap: Bexley Lions vs. Mifflin Punchers

Bexley never got on the board in their matchup last Friday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Mifflin on Friday. They claimed a resounding 49-8 win over the Mifflin Punchers on the road. That's more bragging rights for the Lions, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

A big part of the victory came down to the chemistry between Jackson Frey and his top target Kaleb Krasnow. Frey threw for 41 yards and two touchdowns while completing 100% of his passes while Krasnow rushed for 44 yards and two touchdowns. Bren Puchta also helped with two touchdowns in total.

Bexley wouldn't let Mifflin keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Bexley can thank Nicholas Gouke and Eddie Merritt Iv for forcing both of them. Gouke's also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing a fumble and making three total tackles.

The win got Bexley back to even at 1-1. As for Mifflin, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Bexley's road trip will continue as they head out to face Lakewood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mifflin, they will face off against Kenton Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
