Baseball Recap: Cholla Comes Up Short

Cholla was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the Rio Rico Hawks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Chargers of the 7-4 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2022.

Cholla saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brandon Armenta, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Cholla's defeat dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Rio Rico, they now have a winning record of 12-11.

While Cholla had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
