Soccer Recap: Naaman Forest Comes Up Short

While it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, Naaman Forest was not quite Rowlett's equal in the second half on Saturday. They fell 3-1 to the Rowlett Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Rangers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 423rd, while the Eagles are ranked 198th).

Naaman Forest's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Rowlett, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Naaman Forest will host Wylie at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rowlett, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Rowlett challenge the Garland at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Garland's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
