Baseball Recap: Collegiate Has No Trouble Against Dalton

Collegiate won the last time they faced Dalton and things went their way on Friday too. The Dutchmen were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Tigers. Considering the Dutchmen have won three contests by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Ale' Propper-Bowring spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits. Collegiate is undefeated when Propper-Bowring allows one or fewer earned runs, but 2-3 otherwise.

At the plate, Jack Deblasi was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Harris Roessner was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Collegiate kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in three consecutive matchups.

Collegiate's record is now 5-3. As for Dalton, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-4 record.
