Sonora falls short of Venture Academy in the playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Sonora Wildcats can now relate to. They fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 3-2. That's two games in a row now that Sonora has lost by exactly one goal.

Samuel Villafana and Chad Kuykendall did their best for Sonora and scored both of Sonora's goals. The pair have combined for a total of 48 so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Sonora and nudges their season record down to 14-4. As for Venture Academy, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-4-2.

Sonora does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Venture Academy, they will square off against Delhi at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Delhi will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Venture Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
