Basketball Recap: Howard Takes Down St. Georges Tech in a Playoff Battle

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Howard had no problem doing just that on Monday. They blew past the St. Georges Tech Hawks, posting a 58-31 win. Winning may never get old, but the Wildcats sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Leading Howard to victory were Ha'Lena Griffin and Bria Harker-Brown. Griffin dropped a double-double with 13 points and 17 rebounds, while Harker-Brown posted nine points along with six steals and five boards. Thanks to that strong game, Griffin now owns an excellent 45.1% shooting accuracy. Noel Edwards was another key player, putting up nine points.

Howard's victory bumped their record up to 17-5. As for St. Georges Tech, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 15-7.

Howard wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 63-32 defeat against Ursuline Academy on the 26th. St. Georges Tech does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
