Columbia Academy got themselves on the board against Bowling Green on Friday, but Bowling Green never followed suit. They took their  contest  with ease, bagging  a  48-0 win over the Buccaneers. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by 26  points or more this season.
It was another big night for  Bentley Myers, who rushed for 131 yards and two  scores on only six carries. Those  two  rushing touchdowns gave  him a new career-high.  Maddox McDaniel was another key rusher, rushing for 77 yards and one  touchdown.
 They were just one part of a punishing run game: Columbia Academy was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 420  rushing yards. That's the most  rushing yards they've managed all season.
The  victory (which was Columbia Academy's fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-2. Those  wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 40.3 points over those games. As for Bowling Green, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.
 We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Columbia Academy will  challenge  rival Christian Collegiate Academy  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Meanwhile, Bowling Green is set to  face off against  their familiar foe Wayne Academy  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
