Softball Recap: Meridian's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Four

While Meridian didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against the Emmett Huskies by a score of 7-2 on Saturday. The victory was nothing new for the Warriors as they're now sitting on four straight.

Meridian's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Emmett, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Meridian will host Cole Valley Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meridian's pitchers better be ready for this one: Cole Valley Christian has averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season. As for Emmett, they will challenge Skyview at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
