Basketball Game Preview: Enochs Eagles vs. Turlock Bulldogs

The Enochs Eagles will take on the Turlock Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Enochs took on Central Valley on Saturday. Enochs claimed a resounding 78-39 win over Central Valley. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, you can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Turlock's strategy against Patterson on Saturday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Turlock blew Patterson out of the water with a 69-34 final score. The Bulldogs pushed the score to 48-23 by the end of the third, a deficit the Tigers had little chance of recovering from.

Turlock pushed their record up to 7-9 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 27.8 points. As for Enochs, their win bumped their record up to 10-5.

Enochs couldn't quite finish off Turlock in their previous meeting back in January of 2024 and fell 53-51. Thankfully for Enochs, Andrew Johnson (who went 8 of 20 on his way to 19 points along with seven boards and four steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
