Volleyball Recap: Laguna Beach Comes Up Short

Laguna Beach extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping them down to 4-6. They came up short against the JSerra Catholic Lions, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Breakers of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

As for JSerra Catholic, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-5. They not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since October 15, 2024 (when they won 3-0).

Among those leading the charge was Paloma Wilkinson, who had 18 digs and one assist. Those 18 digs gave her a new career-high. Rochelle Dous also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Laguna Beach wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-2 victory against Downey on the 25th. As for JSerra Catholic, they have also already played their next game, a 3-2 win against San Juan Hills on the 28th.
