Basketball Recap: Cape Fear Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Cape Fear lost against E.E. Smith back in November of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Colts took a hard 63-49 fall against the Golden Bulls. The Colts were down 57-32 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Despite the loss, Cape Fear still got an impressive performance from Chosen Wynn, who posted 14 points. Another player making a difference was Joshua Green, who scored nine points.

E.E. Smith found their leader in sophomore Nick Smith, who went 10-for-14 to rack up 28 points and eight steals. Smith has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last nine times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Nazir Cooper, who had six points and four steals.

Cape Fear's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cape Fear will venture away from home to challenge Clinton at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for E.E. Smith, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Hillside at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
