A Season-Best Performance from Hunter Garza Leads Deckerville over Alcona

Hunter Garza produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Deckerville to the win on Friday. Garza rushed for 355 yards and seven touchdowns while picking up 11.1 yards per carry. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (126). The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rushing yards.

If history really does repeat itself, Garza might just drop another big game when he faces off against All Saints Central on Thursday. Back in August (the last time Garza saw the Cougars), he rushed for 115 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries, and also threw for 85 yards and a touchdown.

Josh Blaszak Puts an End to Memphis' Losing Streak on Friday

Thanks in part to Josh Blaszak, Memphis said goodbye to their 16-game losing streak dating back to last season. Blaszak's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 125 rushing yards. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 59 yards.

On the season, Blaszak has run in 16 touchdowns while averaging 154.7 rushing yards per game.

Shane Miller was a major factor in Mayville's victory over Akron-Fairgrove on Friday. Miller did his part (and then some), rushing for 99 yards and a touchdown on only five carries for the 'W'.

For the year, Miller has run in 6 touchdowns while averaging 46.4 rushing yards per game.

Luka Campbell's Big Game Leads Mayville over Akron-Fairgrove

The second Mayville player making an appearance here is Luka Campbell, and for good reason. He picked up 92 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He is becoming a predictor of Mayville's success: when he posts at least two receiving touchdowns the team is 4-2 (and 0-3 when he doesn't).

On the year, Campbell has caught 9 touchdowns while averaging 73.9 receiving yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he had five receiving touchdowns.
