Volleyball Game Preview: Jackson Polar Bears vs. Western Reserve Academy Pioneers

The Jackson Polar Bears will take on the Western Reserve Academy Pioneers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Western Reserve Academy took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Jackson, who comes in off a win.

On Tuesday, Jackson had just enough and edged out Stow-Munroe Falls 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Polar Bears have posted against the Bulldogs since April 8, 2023.

Jackson was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 20-25, 24-26, 25-21, 15-5.

Meanwhile, Western Reserve Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against St. Vincent-St. Mary, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Pioneers have suffered since April 3rd.

Jackson is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. As for Western Reserve Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.
