Basketball Game Preview: Northglenn Norsemen vs. Fairview Knights

The Northglenn Norsemen will venture away from home to challenge the Fairview Knights at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Northglenn will be strutting in after a win while Fairview will be coming in after a defeat.

Northglenn will bounce into Saturday's contest after beating Prairie View, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Northglenn came out on top against Prairie View by a score of 44-36 on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Fairview came up short against Monarch on Thursday and fell 44-31. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 130th, while the Coyotes are ranked 43rd).

Despite the loss, Fairview saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Chloe Hickory went 7-for-15 on her way to 17 points and five steals. Hickory has become a key player for Fairview: the team is 5-2 when she posts at least three steals, but 6-7 otherwise.

Northglenn's victory bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Fairview, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 11-9 record this season.
