Winning always takes teamwork, but on Saturday Skylar Skinner stepped things up a notch to give Homewood-Flossmoor the 'W'. Skinner got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs and one double. The effort marked the most runs she has had since back in May of 2024.

Skinner and Homewood-Flossmoor will take on Lockport at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Vikings will be headed into this one with a sizable disadvantage in the rankings (they're ranked 134 places lower in Illinois), but they're not letting that get them down.
