Jessie Keith and Keely Stevens secure win for Bakersfield

Recap: Bakersfield Lions vs. Van Buren Bulldogs
The Bakersfield Lions came into Monday's matchup having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against Van Buren by a score of 61-51 on Monday. The win was just what Bakersfield needed coming off of a 67-43 loss in their prior game.
Bakersfield was led to victory by Jessie Keith and Keely Stevens. Keith scored 21 points, while Stevens scored 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Callie Smith, who scored 11 points.
Bakersfield's win bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Van Buren, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-10.
Bakersfield didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 60-25 win vs. Couch on the 9th. Van Buren will look to defend their home court on Monday against Clearwater at 5:00 p.m.
