Midview had to endure an eight-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They strolled past the Steele Comets with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 38-21. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 51-49 back in December of 2024.
Leah DiFranco was her usual excellent self, going 7 of 12 en route to 17 points along with six steals and five boards. Hunter Crum was another key player, putting up eight points in addition to six rebounds and three steals.
Midview's win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-11. As for Steele, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-13.
Midview and Steele could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. Midview will face off against Avon Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Monday down 492 places (540 vs. 48). Midview is out to stop a six-game streak of losses at home. Meanwhile, Steele (ranked 630th) will meet Berea-Midpark (ranked 180th) at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
