Fremd is 8-0 against Elk Grove since November of 2014 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Fremd Vikings will welcome the Elk Grove Grenadiers at 7:00 p.m. Fremd knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 contests -- so hopefully Elk Grove likes a good challenge.

Fremd is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Barrington just ended the team's 12-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 72-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fillies/Broncos. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Vikings came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 14th, while the Fillies/Broncos are ranked 96th).

Meanwhile, Elk Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 65-47 to Dixon. The Grenadiers were down 46-24 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Fremd's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 14-2. As for Elk Grove, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-15.

Everything came up roses for Fremd against Elk Grove in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, as the squad secured a 65-32 win. Does Fremd have another victory up their sleeve, or will Elk Grove turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
