Volleyball Recap: Brownsburg Triumphs

Brownsburg had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Lake Central Indians on Saturday. The win continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Indians: they've now won four in a row.

Alli Keel paced Brownsburg's offense, picking up ten kills. Keel got some help from Becca Rogers and her 33 assists. Rachel Hylton controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Defeat or not, Lake Central got some senior leadership from Lilly Barth and Isabella Steliga. Barth had six digs and two aces, while Steliga had three digs and three aces.

Lake Central's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Brownsburg didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Harrison on the 16th. As for Lake Central, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against North Central on the 16th.
