Soccer Game Preview: Bishop O'Dowd vs. Piedmont

The Bishop O'Dowd Dragons will face off against the Piedmont Highlanders at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bishop O'Dowd is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Bishop O'Dowd's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They put the hurt on Encinal with a sharp 12-0 victory. The Dragons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 games by three goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Piedmont's offense. They fell just short of Castro Valley by a score of 1-0 on Wednesday. That's two games in a row now that the Highlanders have lost by just one goal.

Bishop O'Dowd pushed their record up to 14-0-2 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 57 goals over those nine matches. As for Piedmont, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8-2 record this season.
