Baseball Recap: Concrete Takes a Loss

Concrete had lost 12 straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 0-9 to make it 13. They came up short against the Friday Harbor Wolverines, falling 14-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 26-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

As for Friday Harbor, their record now sits at 9-6. The contest marked their most dominant victory of the season.

For Friday Harbor's part, Jackson Feliz was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). Friday Harbor is 5-1 when Feliz allows three or fewer hits, but 4-5 otherwise. Feliz was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Joseph Holt was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and three runs. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Colton Rheinberger also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

While Concrete had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
