Softball Recap: Nine Straight Home Victories for Robertson

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Robertson and Santa Fe Indian, and Robertson kept the tradition alive. The Cardinals came out on top against the Braves by a score of 5-1 on Tuesday. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 9-0 victory on Tuesday.

Kylee Griego made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. Those six strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and one run.

Griego wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jayden Ortega, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Robertson pushed their record up to 9-12 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Santa Fe Indian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-11.
