Basketball Recap: Purvis Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Logan Brewer and Judd Gipson

Purvis lost against Forrest County Agricultural on January 14th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Purvis Tornadoes received a blow as they fell 53-35 to the Forrest County Agricultural Aggies. While losing is never fun, the Tornadoes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 211th, while the Aggies are ranked 77th).

Purvis' loss came despite strong showings from Judd Gipson and Logan Brewer. Gipson posted 13 points and five rebounds, while Brewer put up six points and five boards.

Purvis' loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Forrest County Agricultural, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-6.

Purvis has already played their next contest (against Sumrall), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Forrest County Agricultural does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
