Baseball Recap: Petersburg Takes a Loss

Petersburg has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.21 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Saturday. They came up short against the South Harrison Hawks, falling 10-1. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hawks apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Petersburg has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-3 record this season. As for South Harrison, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-10.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Hawks beat Petersburg by a score of 5-3 later that day.
