Baseball Recap: Raytown Comes Up Short

Raytown's last matchup with Chrisman could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Monday. The Bluejays came up short against the Bears, falling 14-4. The Bluejays haven't had much luck with the Bears recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Raytown saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Austin Terryberry, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI. William Buckman was another, earning one RBI, one run, and two stolen bases.

Raytown's defeat dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Chrisman, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-17.

Looking ahead, Raytown is taking a road trip to take on Truman at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Patriots will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Bluejays surely won't give up without a fight. As for Chrisman, they will face off against Grain Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
