There's no place like home for South Milwaukee, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Brookfield Academy Blue Knights on Thursday. For the Rockets, this counts as revenge for the 3-2 win the Blue Knights walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

South Milwaukee had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 22-25, 25-20, 27-25, 15-5.

South Milwaukee's victory bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Brookfield Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.

South Milwaukee will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Blue Knights: the pair will be back at it again later today.
