Samarian Franklin leads Wenonah to victory over Whitehaven

The Wenonah Dragons entered their tilt with the Whitehaven Tigers with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Wenonah came out on top in a nail-biter against Whitehaven on Saturday and snuck past 50-47. That's another feather in the cap for Wenonah, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Samarian Franklin continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 29 points along with 6 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Wenonah's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabrielle Blanks, who scored 4 points along with 11 rebounds.

Wenonah's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Whitehaven, their loss dropped their record down to 3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wenonah's road trip will continue as they head out to face Minor at 6:00 p.m. on November 28th. As for Whitehaven, they will face off against Fayette Ware at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
