Baseball Game Preview: Hanna Golden Eagles vs. Veterans Memorial Chargers

The Hanna Golden Eagles will head out to challenge the Veterans Memorial Chargers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither Hanna nor Veterans Memorial posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Friday just wasn't the day for Hanna's offense. They fell just short of San Benito by a score of 2-0 on Friday. The Golden Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Veterans Memorial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of Harlingen. That's two games in a row now that the Chargers have lost by just one run.

Veterans Memorial's defeat dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Hanna, their loss dropped their record down to 7-13.

Hanna skirted past Veterans Memorial 3-1 when the teams last played two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Golden Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
