Royal lost against Newbury Park back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Royal Highlanders took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Newbury Park Panthers. The Highlanders' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Holly White was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Lidija Faubert was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base.

Royal's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Newbury Park, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

Royal will challenge Thousand Oaks at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Thousand Oaks is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.1 runs per game this season. As for Newbury Park, they will take on Louisville at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.
